Former Digitas India COO Sonia Khurana has joined SuperStuff.ai as Partner and COO, tasked with scaling its 35,000-strong expert network. Her leadership focuses on proof-of-work, transparency and structural realignment between brands and marketing talent, creating an on-demand marketplace that balances algorithmic efficiency with seasoned human judgment.

SuperStuff.ai has announced the appointment of Sonia Khurana, former Chief Operating Officer of Digitas India, as Partner and COO. The move signals a decisive step in the platform’s ambition to redefine how brands engage with specialised marketing talent, while scaling its network of 35,000 experts.

Khurana’s mandate is clear: to prioritise precision over speed and to dismantle the traditional disconnect between pitch and delivery that has long plagued agency-client relationships. By embedding proof-of-work into the platform’s operating model, she aims to ensure that brands are matched with talent whose expertise is demonstrable, not just promised.

Her arrival marks a shift in the structural alignment between brands and marketing specialists, with SuperStuff.ai positioning itself as a transparent, on-demand marketplace. Unlike conventional agency structures, which often rely on layers of intermediaries and opaque processes, the platform seeks to balance algorithmic efficiency with the discernment of seasoned human judgment.

For Khurana, the challenge lies not only in scaling the platform’s expert base but also in ensuring that its growth is sustainable and meaningful. By focusing on transparency and accountability, she intends to build trust among both brands and talent, creating a marketplace where efficiency does not come at the expense of quality.

The appointment also reflects broader changes in the marketing ecosystem, where brands increasingly demand agility, specialisation and measurable outcomes. SuperStuff.ai’s model, under Khurana’s leadership, promises to deliver these by reimagining how talent is sourced, evaluated and deployed.

Her move from Digitas India, where she oversaw operations for one of the country’s leading digital agencies, underscores the growing importance of platforms that blend technology with human expertise. As COO, Khurana will be instrumental in shaping SuperStuff.ai’s next phase of growth, ensuring that its promise of precision-driven marketing solutions translates into tangible impact for clients.

With this leadership addition, SuperStuff.ai is poised to challenge conventional agency models and set new benchmarks for how brands and talent collaborate in an increasingly complex marketing landscape.

Australian consultancy Time Under Tension has become an OpenAI Services Partner, strengthening its ability to help businesses embed generative AI into operations. Co-founder Tim O’Neill emphasised that capability, governance and architecture are now critical as organisations move beyond experimentation. The partnership supports secure, enterprise-grade AI adoption across multiple sectors.

Time Under Tension has announced its new status as an OpenAI Services Partner, marking a significant step in its mission to help Australian businesses embed generative AI into everyday operations. The consultancy, founded in 2023, designs and deploys secure, enterprise-grade solutions using OpenAI models to support executive teams in building AI capability across workflows, governance structures and operating models.

Co-founder Tim O’Neill said the partnership comes at a pivotal moment, as organisations shift from experimentation to operational deployment. “Access to gen AI is no longer the barrier, the real challenge is embedding AI into how businesses operate. Businesses need the right governance, skills and architecture in place,” he explained. He added that the next phase of generative AI in Australia is about capability, with organisations that invest in strong foundations better placed to integrate AI into daily work.

Demand for practical AI solutions is accelerating across financial services, retail, tourism, government and media. Time Under Tension’s Services Partner status reinforces its role in helping businesses adopt AI responsibly, securely and at scale. “Our collaboration with OpenAI supports our work helping clients with end-to-end AI solution delivery, training, and security aligned to business strategy,” O’Neill said.

The consultancy already works with leading brands including AGL, ScotPac, Baby Bunting and Queensland Rail, identifying high-impact use cases and building production-ready generative AI applications that deliver measurable outcomes. Ben Cutler, Chief Customer & Marketing Officer at ScotPac, praised the collaboration: “Our partnership with Time Under Tension has truly revolutionised how we approach generative AI innovation. We are excited to continue this journey together, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with generative AI.”

This announcement follows the recent merger of GetThere and the appointment of Simon Hillier to lead Time Under Tension’s new AI Academy training offering, further strengthening its commitment to equipping businesses with the skills and frameworks needed to harness AI effectively.

PARAMETER GOLF: OPENAI’S EFFICIENCY CHALLENGE https://creativebrandsmag.com/parameter-golf-openais-efficiency-challenge/ https://creativebrandsmag.com/parameter-golf-openais-efficiency-challenge/#respond Fri, 20 Mar 2026 04:53:05 +0000 https://creativebrandsmag.com/?p=32208 OpenAI has launched Parameter Golf, a global challenge to build the most efficient pretrained model under strict limits: 16 MB size and 10 minutes of training on 8×H100 GPUs. OpenAI has launched Parameter Golf, a global challenge to build the most efficient pretrained model under strict limits: 16 MB size and 10 minutes of training on 8×H100 GPUs. With compute credits available and job opportunities for standout participants, the contest blends technical innovation with recruitment potential.

OpenAI has unveiled a new open research competition called Parameter Golf, aimed at pushing the boundaries of model efficiency. The challenge asks participants to minimise held-out loss on a fixed FineWeb dataset while adhering to strict limits: a combined 16 MB cap for weights and training code, and a 10-minute training budget on 8×H100 GPUs. This unusual set of constraints is designed to test ingenuity in model design and optimisation rather than brute computational force.

Entrants are provided with a GitHub repository containing a baseline model, dataset, and evaluation scripts. They are expected to fork the repository, improve the model within the given size and compute caps, and submit their work via pull request. Submissions must include code, logs, scores, and a short write-up. Once approved, results are merged and automatically reflected on the leaderboard.

To support experimentation, OpenAI has partnered with Runpod to offer compute credits. These range from quick-start credits worth around $25 (eight compute hours) to advanced competitor grants valued at $1,000 (320 compute hours). Credits are limited and subject to eligibility checks, but they provide a crucial resource for participants iterating on their approaches.

Beyond the technical challenge, Parameter Golf serves as a talent-spotting exercise. OpenAI has stated that exceptional researchers and engineers who excel may be invited to interview for roles at the company. Winning approaches could also be showcased publicly, giving participants visibility in the AI research community.

The competition is open to individuals aged 18 and above in supported jurisdictions. While OpenAI employees can participate, they are not eligible for compute credits. Participants can join discussions on OpenAI’s official Discord, where a dedicated channel has been set up for collaboration and updates.

This initiative reflects OpenAI’s belief that innovation can come from anywhere. By framing efficiency as the ultimate test, the company is encouraging creative solutions that may influence future directions in model design. For aspiring researchers, Parameter Golf is not only a chance to demonstrate technical skill but also an opportunity to connect with one of the leading organisations in artificial intelligence.
